Why are you running for City Council?

In simplest terms, I believe I can help our government perform better and thereby make our day-to-day lives better.

What do you mean by "perform better"?

Our City Council's primary job is to be "law makers".

A good law requires deep partnership with city agencies, busineses, and communities.

This validates that:

• The right problem is being solved.
• Legislation is the best tool to solve it.
• Everyone is committed to seeing it succeed (eg. enforcement).

In recent years, the City Council has not been a good partner. They've passed laws that attempt to micro-manage and force change both within our cities agencies as well as culturally. This attempt at "hard power" has created political gridlock and has failed to deliver a city with abundant opportunity, housing, and safety.
